Ready to build a stunning star quilt without the stress? Join us for the second #PrismPopExchange! This event features the Prism Star, a block I designed specifically for this exchange to give you a "perfect" result every time—no advanced skills required.

How the Exchange Works

The Concept: Sign up for either 1 or 2 groups to receive digital block instructions and cutting guides for 10 blocks.
The Process: You make 10 of the SAME blocks using your choice of fabrics within the required fabric theme. (10 blocks per group - if you sign up for 2 groups, you will send TWO sets of 10 blocks (not 20 of the same)).
The Return: Mail your blocks to me by the deadline. I will coordinate the exchange and send you back a swapped bundle of 10 different blocks. (I aim to not have any duplicate blocks returned to you, but this ultimately depends on the total number of people involved in the exchange.)
The Finish: Full finishing instructions for the final quilt top will be included with your returned blocks!

Fabric Requirements: Ruby Star Society ONLY!

Before starting, please read all instructions. To keep our finished quilts cohesive while letting your creativity run wild, please adhere to these rules:

The 3-Fabric Rule: For your blocks, simply pick 3 complementary Ruby Star Society fabrics (Fabric A, Fabric B, and Fabric C) that look beautiful together.
Fabric Substrate: All fabrics must be 100% quilting cotton only. Please do not use linen blends, cotton lawn, canvas, or other substrates, as we want to keep the weight of the blocks consistent.
No Background Restrictions: There are no strict low-volume or solid white background requirements. Go bold, go bright, or go coordinated—just make sure all three fabrics are RSS!
The Only Hard Rule: NO holiday-themed fabrics (no Christmas, Halloween, Valentine's Day, etc.). Please keep your selections everyday-gorgeous so the final quilts can be enjoyed year-round!
Pure RSS Magic: Please ensure no other fabric brands sneak into your blocks so that the entire exchange stays true to that signature Ruby Star Society look.

Beginner-Friendly Construction (The "Grace" Factor)

We’ve all been there: a "scant" seam or a tricky point makes a block finish at the wrong size. I wrote this pattern with built-in wiggle room:

No Stress: NO Y-seams and NO flying geese. Just straightforward, fun piecing.
Oversized for Perfection: The block is designed to finish slightly over $12\text{''}$ .
The Easy Trim: Instead of fighting for the perfect size while sewing, you just sew and then trim it down to a perfect 12" before sending them to me.
Professional Results: This ensures every block in the exchange is the exact same size, making your final assembly a breeze.

A full layout for this quilt requires 20 blocks. To help you finish a whole quilt, you can sign up for 2 groups:

Multi-Group Option: You can sign up for up to 2 groups total.
Instant Variety: If you join both groups, you’ll send 20 blocks (using 2 different fabric sets) and receive 20 swapped blocks in return—that’s your instant, full quilt top!

Important Dates & Logistics

Shipped By Date: Your blocks must be in the mail and SHIPPED BY July 27, 2026.
In-Hand Deadline: Blocks MUST be received by me no later than August 3, 2026. No exceptions! Any blocks received after this date will be shipped back to you unswapped.
Shipping Address: Your mailing address instructions will be provided via email post-signup. If you do not receive this confirmation email, please reach out to me IMMEDIATELY.
Return Shipping: Rates paid at checkout cover the return trip for your blocks. I use USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate envelopes to keep shipping as low and reliable as possible.
